PCB Copy: Synchronous Simulation of Original Surface Technology

Release Date:Jun 25, 2026

PCB surface technology synchronous simulation replication is a key process to ensure that the appearance quality, surface performance, welding reliability and service life of cloned boards are completely consistent with the original boards. PCB surface technology is not only related to the appearance of the circuit board, but also directly determines the boards weldability, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, insulation performance and environmental adaptability. Different electronic products match different surface treatment processes, including HASL leaded tin spraying, lead-free tin spraying, ENIG gold plating, immersion silver, immersion tin, OSP anti-oxidation, hard gold plating, and matte tin. Ordinary PCB copying often ignores surface process details, resulting in inconsistent surface performance between new and old boards, poor welding compatibility, and reduced product stability. Our synchronous surface technology simulation service realizes full-process 1:1 replication of the original boards surface technology parameters and process effects.

The core of surface technology synchronous replication is accurate identification and full parameter restoration of the original boards surface process. First, professional technicians conduct comprehensive detection and analysis of the original PCB surface, accurately identify the type of surface treatment process, and test core process parameters including surface coating thickness, coating uniformity, surface roughness, solderability, and anti-oxidation grade. For gold-plated boards, we detect the thickness of the gold layer and nickel layer; for tin-sprayed boards, we calibrate the tin layer thickness and flatness; for OSP boards, we confirm the anti-oxidation film thickness and effective service life. At the same time, we record detailed appearance features such as solder mask color, silk screen font, ink thickness and board surface gloss of the original board to ensure consistent appearance restoration.

In the production and manufacturing stage, we fully simulate the original boards surface process flow and parameter standards for synchronous processing. According to the detected original process parameters, we formulate customized surface treatment schemes, strictly control all process links such as pretreatment cleaning, coating electroplating, spraying curing and post-processing. For example, for industrial-grade ENIG boards, we strictly control the nickel-gold plating thickness to avoid excessive or insufficient coating affecting welding and conductivity; for high-precision OSP boards, we adopt the same chemical formula and processing temperature to ensure consistent anti-oxidation performance. All surface process equipment and process parameters are consistent with the original boards manufacturing standards to eliminate performance differences caused by process differences.

After the completion of surface processing, we carry out multi-dimensional inspection and verification of the new boards surface performance. The inspection items include surface flatness, coating adhesion, oxidation resistance, welding tinning rate, insulation performance and appearance consistency. Through professional testing equipment, we confirm that the surface physical and chemical properties of the cloned board are completely consistent with the original board. This synchronous simulation technology not only realizes the consistent appearance of the new and old boards, but also ensures that the cloned board has the same welding reliability, environmental adaptability and long-term stability as the original board, avoiding product quality problems caused by surface process mismatch, and is widely used in high-standard electronic products such as industrial control, automotive electronics and communication equipment.
